Statistics Study Program of FMIPA Unram Undergoes LAMSAMA Field Assessment, Aiming for Superior Accreditation

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Undergraduate Statistics Study Program (Prodi) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Mataram (FMIPA Unram) conducted a field assessment from the Accreditation Agency for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA). This field assessment activity lasted for three days, from June 30 to July 2, 2025 at the FMIPA Unram Hall.

The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., officially opened the activity. In his speech, the Rector of Unram said that the acceleration of superior accreditation of study programs is one of Unram’s main programs. This is in line with the 4 main programs that are being designed as strategic directions in university development.

“Unram is currently developing 4 main programs, the Acceleration of Superior Accreditation Program, the Acceleration of Achievement of KPI Program, the Acceleration Program towards Legal Entity State Universities (PTN-BH), and the program towards World Class University which encourages digital administration in all institutional services,” he explained.

Furthermore, Prof. Bambang in the forum said that general budget performance was also a concern. This can be seen from Unram’s success in financial management, which is marked by an award from the Ministry of Finance as the best financial management university in NTB.

The field assessment this time involved two assessors from LAMSAMA, Irhama, Msi., Ph.D from Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) and Prof. Dr. Manuharawati, M.Si. from the State University of Semarang (Unesa). The visit of the two assessors was warmly welcomed by the Rector of Unram along with the university leaders and FMIPA.

In her remarks, Irhama, M.Si., Ph.D. gave appreciation for the commitment and enthusiasm of the university and FMIPA leaders who were willing to attend the opening ceremony.

“We were deeply honored because the Rector and the university leaders were willing to attend the opening ceremony, and this is an extraordinary sign, which shows the extraordinary support and commitment from Unram to assurance policies (services) at Unram,” he explained.

Irhama, M.Si., Ph.D also gave appreciation for Unram’s achievements in the last three years, including Unram’s desire to go to PTN-BH. She emphasized that independence and strong finances are the keys to PTN-BH.

“We truly appreciate your visionary mindset so that in approximately three years, Unram has shown rapid progress. There are many PTN-BLUs that have gone back and forth to register PTN-BH, this is because to become PTB-BH requires strong independence from systems to finance, ” she explained.

This field assessment activity is expected to run smoothly and provide satisfactory results. So that the Statistics Study Program of FMIPA Unram can achieve superior accreditation through the ongoing field assessment.
