Strategic Cooperation between Unram and PT. Penerbit Erlangga Officially Signed MoU, MoA and Symbolic Scholarship Handover

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) and PT. Penerbit Erlangga officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) that aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of education, which was coupled with a symbolic scholarship handover taking place in the Rector’s Conference Room, Unram Rectorate on Monday, October 7, 2024.

Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in his speech expressed his appreciation and gratitude to PT. Penerbit Erlangga for the scholarship given. “This scholarship will certainly greatly benefit our students. I hope that this scholarship can be used wisely for educational purposes and not used for things that do not provide benefits,” he said.

Prof. Bambang also expressed his hope that this collaboration can extend to other fields, especially in terms of book publishing.

“Please convey our warm greetings and gratitude to the Director of PT Penerbit Erlangga and all board members. Hopefully we can work together in other matters as well,” he added.

On the other hand, Muhammad Ikhsan, Manager of PT. Penerbit Erlangga, expressed his pride in collaborating with Unram. “We would like to express our pride and gratitude for this extraordinary cooperation. Unram is one of the best universities in eastern Indonesia, so this is an honor for us to jointly build achievements in the world of education,” he said.

On this occasion, the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) was also carried out by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of Unram, Dr. Sujita, S.T., M.T. This MoA is a concrete step to strengthen the commitment of both parties in various programs, including scholarships and other educational support.

On the same occasion, Ikhsan also congratulated the five students who were selected to receive the scholarship and hoped that they could utilize this scholarship to achieve their goals. “Through this scholarship, we hope to make a greater and more sustainable contribution for students in the future,” he said.

The five students who received Penerbit Erlangga Scholarship 2024 are:

  1. Baiq Najwa Tiara Safitri from the Faculty of Agriculture.

  2. Eka Putra Ismail from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP)

  3. Ihlasul Amal from Faculty of Engineering (FT)

  4. Lalu Wiragaos Abdul Rozak from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB)

  5. Muhammad Iman Nichfu Sa’ban from Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences (FHISIP)

The signing of the MoU and MoA as well as the symbolic handover of this scholarship is an important step to strengthen the commitment of both parties in improving the quality of education and supporting students in achieving their dreams in the future.
