The University of Mataram and the Shangrao Normal University Launched Mandarin Center

Mataram, the University of Mataram –  welcomed the arrival of the Shangrao Normal University (SRNU) China group to discuss the implementation of the Mandarin Center and other potential collaborations. This activity took place in the Senate Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate on Wednesday (13/9) and was attended by the SNRU group consisting of the Rector of SRNU, Prof. Dr. Chen Hongsheng; Assoc. Prof. Chen Litao; Assoc. Prof. Ge Xin; Assoc. Prof. Zhang Zhiyun; and Yu Chunying.

The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. said that the collaboration between Unram and SRNU was an extraordinary journey and one of the most exciting prospects of this collaboration and one of the interesting collaboration is the inauguration of the Mandarin Center. It is believed that the Mandarin Center will be a catalyst for deepening Unram’s relationship with SRNU and fostering better understanding between the two institutions.

“By providing a platform for language and cultural exchange, we hope we can create an environment where collaboration can flourish in new and unexpected ways”. “And the establishment of the Mandarin Center is a real indication of our dedication to internationalization, and we believe this will become the foundation in our efforts to provide world-class education for our students at the University of Mataram,” explained Prof. Bambang.

The 10th Rector of Unram explained that this partnership would bring Unram to a variety of perspectives, cultures and ideas, so that it would be able to make the Unram academic community to be better individuals and professionals. “They will also pave the way for collaborative research, joint ventures, and international exchange, enriching our educational experience, and preparing us to thrive in a globally competitive environment,” he added.

Prof. Bambang hopes that SRNU can become one of the strongest and closest partners to Unram.

“I invite all of us to maintain the spirit of building national and international relations. Because we will never know how big the impact will be on society in the future. “Let’s work together to create a brighter and more connected future,” concluded the Unram Chancellor.

The discussion regarding potential collaboration that could be carried out by Unram and SRNU was guided by Prof. Ir. Dahlanuddin, M.Rur.Sc., Ph.D. as Chair of the International Affairs Office (KUI) and ended with the inauguration of the Mandarin Center by the Rector of Unram and the Rector of SRNU.
