The University of Mataram Strengthens Cooperation in Health Sector with IIK Bhakti Wiyata

Mataram, The University of Mataram – The University of Mataram welcomed a cooperation visit with the Bhakti Wiyata Kediri Institute of Health Sciences (IIK) on Friday (21/7) morning in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Second Floor of the Unram Rectorate Building. The cooperation was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).

Unram Rector, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., warmly welcomed the arrival of IIK Rector Bhakti Wiyata and his entourage. He expressed his welcome to the entire group from IIK Bhakti Wiyata Kediri who had taken the time to attend on a beautiful island, Lombok island.

The collaboration will be followed up by the Faculty of Medicine Unram. The Rector of Unram said that the Faculty of Medicine Unram will continue to make improvements. It will be great for the Faculty of Medicine Unram which has received a superior predicate.

“Our medical faculty has received an excellent predicate, so it can do coaching. One of the things we will build in the future is Hamzanwadi University”, explained Prof. Bambang.

The Rector of Unram continued, in the future he will try to develop specialists in Faculty of Medicine Unram. “We have opened a surgical specialist and this year we will open another ob-gyn specialist and later there will be Marine Medicine which is the only one in Indonesia,” he said.

“We realize that Indonesia is an archipelago, especially in NTB and in the future science related to marine medicine will be needed,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, IIK Bhakti Wiyata Rector Prof. Dr. apt. Muhammad Zainuddin expressed his gratitude for the welcome which was given by Unram.
“Thanks to the Rector of Unram and his staff, hopefully, the collaboration we will do will advance Unram and IIK Bhakti Wiyata,” he hoped.

During the cooperation visit, the Vice Rectors, Bureau and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine signed the MoA directly with IIk Bhakti Wiyata and representatives from other faculties within Unram.
