Mataram, University of Mataram – A warm atmosphere full of family filled the Dome of the University of Mataram (Unram) on Thursday (10/4), when the entire academic community gathered in the Halal Bihalal event and the Farewell of Hajj Pilgrims of the Unram Extended Family in 2025. This event is a special post-Ramadan momentum to strengthen the relationship and accompany the holy steps of the Hajj pilgrims.
Present at this event, the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., along with the Vice Rectors, lecturers, and education staff from various faculties in Unram. In his speech, Prof. Bambang invited all attendees to continue to maintain the spirit of worship that had been built during the holy month of Ramadan.
“Halal Bihalal is not just a tradition, but a concrete manifestation of the power of brotherhood which is the main foundation in building the University of Mataram. From diversity we unite, and from togetherness comes the strength to do better, “said Prof. Bambang with enthusiasm.
Furthermore, he also gave prayers and best wishes for the pilgrims from Unram’s extended family. “May Allah make their every step easy, and may they return home with the title of Mabrur Hajj,” he said.
The wisdom of Halal Bihalal was delivered by Prof. Dr. TGH. Fahrurrozi Dahlan QH., MA, who gave a soothing spiritual message. He emphasized the importance of maintaining gratitude, patience, and verbal in daily life, especially in maintaining household harmony and social environment.
“The four keys to happiness in this world and the hereafter are gratitude, patience, self-control, and friendship. These are the pillars of life taught by the Prophet Muhammad,” he said in his sermon.
The event was closed with a joint prayer accompanied by chants of hope that all prospective pilgrims will be given strength, health, and smoothness in carrying out worship in the Holy Land. The togetherness and warmth created in this event is a reminder that Unram is not only a place to study, but also a home for spiritual values, brotherhood, and togetherness.
