Mataram, University of Mataram — The Organizational Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK Ormawa) of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Mataram (BEM Faperta Unram) has successfully brought national recognition to the university. Through their flagship initiative, the Marine Agriculture Definitive Aquatic Quest (MADAQ), the team secured 2nd Best in the Informative Video Category at the 2025 Abdidaya Ormawa, held at the Dome Hall of University of Muhammadiyah Malang from 4–6 December 2025.

This achievement was the result of a long process filled with challenges. Limited production equipment, including the unavailability of drone footage became a significant obstacle in developing the video materials. However, these constraints ultimately encouraged the team to innovate and maximize creativity throughout every stage of production.

“This accomplishment was made possible through the support of many parties, including our peers in BEM Faperta Unram, lecturers from the Marine Science Study Program, and the University. Although we faced limitations such as the unavailability of drone footage, the creativity of the PPK Ormawa media team enabled us to overcome these gaps and produce a video that is both informative and distinctive,” stated Haykal, the Program Leader of PPK Ormawa BEM Faperta Unram.

This success is not only a proud achievement for the team but also reflects the strength of the academic ecosystem at Unram, which consistently fosters collaboration, creativity, and sustainable innovation. The accomplishment further reinforces Unram’s role as an institution committed to community-centered problem-solving through the advancement of applied research and community engagement initiatives that position students as agents of change.

Through this achievement, PPK Ormawa BEM Faperta Unram demonstrates that determination, solid teamwork, adaptability, and creativity can enable Unram students to earn national recognition, even when starting from a position of limited resources.

This accomplishment is expected to inspire other student organizations to continue creating, innovating, and delivering meaningful impact to the community.
