Unram and Shangrao Normal University Establish Cooperation Through Language and Cultural Exchange
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) is proud to announce that the academic and cultural exchange program entitled China-Indonesia Language and Cultural Exchange Program has officially begun. This language and cultural exchange took place at Shangrao Normal University, China from June 10 to June 21, 2024.
This program marks a significant collaboration between the two institutions and involves various parties. The Unram delegation in this activity consisted of representatives from the Office of International Affairs (OIA), as well as eight students from various study programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of Unram as well as the Vice President, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Office of International Affairs (OIA), deans, lecturers, and students from various faculties at Shangrao Normal University.
Through this program, Unram students will learn Chinese culture directly, and later students from Shangrao Normal University will get the same opportunity to learn Indonesian culture at Unram. This activity is part of an ongoing effort to deepen cultural and academic understanding between the two universities.
The participants will engage in various activities in order to encourage academic growth and cultural understanding including class meetings and pairing sessions with Shangrao Normal University students; learning Kung Fu and traditional Chinese dance; participating in sports performances, traditional instrument performances, Chinese rural culture; visiting local museums; and visiting the great wall of China.
The opening of the program took place in the Conference Room Yifu Building, Zhang Ronghui as Vice President of Shangrao Normal University in his speech warmly welcomed the arrival of the Unram delegation and hoped that this activity could run well and bring great benefits to both universities.
On the same occasion, the Partnership Management Coordinator of KUI Unram as well as the accompanying lecturer, I Wayan Agus Arimbawa, ST, M. (Eng) accompanied by Apt. Mahacita Andanalusia, S.Farm., M.Farm. in his speech admitted that the Unram delegation was ready and enthusiastic about participating in the entire series of language and cultural exchange activities.
This language and cultural exchange is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Unram and Shangrao Normal University and open new opportunities for collaboration in various fields in the future.
