Unram Conducts Evaluation Meeting for 2025 SNBT Admissions Applicants

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held an evaluation meeting on the implementation of the 2025 New Student Admission (PMB) process, specifically the National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Prime Park Hotel, Mataram.

The meeting discussed evaluation results and proposed recommendations to improve the selection process in the coming year.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, who was present at the meeting, stated that the number of SNBT applicants in 2025 had increased significantly by 18.6% compared to last year.

“This increase in applicants reflects the strong interest of prospective students in continuing their studies at Unram, which is becoming increasingly recognized by the public,” said Prof. Nana.

One of the key points highlighted was the number of applicants for the KIP-K Scholarship, which reached 4,908 students. Prof. Nana added that the majority of Unram students come from economically disadvantaged families, with 43.18% of students falling into the low-income category.

“This is a major challenge for us at Unram, as we must continue to provide special attention to students from underprivileged backgrounds through scholarship programs and other forms of support,” she said.

The ten most popular study programs at Unram through the 2025 SNBT admission route are as follows:

  1. Management

  2. Diploma in Taxation (D-3 Perpajakan)

  3. Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD)

  4. Diploma in Accounting (D-3 Akuntansi)

  5. Informatics Engineering

  6. Law

  7. Diploma in Tourism (D-3 Pariwisata)

  8. Medical Education

  9. Accounting

  10. Pharmacy

In addition, Unram recorded the top five provinces with the highest number of SNBT 2025 applicants:

  1. West Nusa Tenggara – 12,522 applicants

  2. East Java – 184 applicants

  3. West Java – 126 applicants

  4. East Nusa Tenggara – 88 applicants

  5. Bali – 83 applicants

During the evaluation, Dwi Suswanto, S.Kom., M.M., Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, stated that no violations were found during the implementation of the 2025 SNBT. However, one of the recommendations submitted by Unram’s local committee to the central committee during the monitoring and evaluation process was the importance of implementing of paperless policy throughout the selection and administrative processes. This initiative aims to reduce excessive paper usage and promote a more environmentally friendly approach.

“We have already started applying a paperless system in the implementation of the Mandiri exam, and we hope this can be adopted for all SNBT administrative processes in the future,” Dwi added.

In the previous Mandiri entrance selection, Unram had implemented a digital attendance system as part of its efficiency efforts. Exam supervisors only needed to use Android or iOS smartphones to scan the QR code on participants’ exam cards.

With this evaluation, Unram is expected to continue improving the quality of its admission services and to provide greater opportunities for prospective students from various economic backgrounds.
