Unram Conducts University-Level Socialization of the PPK ORMAWA

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held a Socialization Event for Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK ORMAWA) on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Unram Dome Building.
This activity was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Sujita, ST, MT, and attended by lecturers, alumni, and representatives of associations and student organizations from various faculties within Unram.
In his remarks, Dr. Sujita emphasized the importance role of students and student organizations in carrying out the function of community service through impactful programs.
“Today’s campus is not only about freedom of learning, but how the campus can impact the surrounding environment. The key is real contribution,” he said.
He also added that the results of studies and research on campus must be applied in the community in order to help solve the existing problems.
“We want the community to feel the direct benefits of the presence of students, both in terms of improving welfare and environmental solutions,” he continued.
He also added that current student programs must focus on real impact. The concept of Freedom of Learning is expected to develop into an impact campus, where students not only learn, but also provide solutions to various social and environmental problems.
One concrete example presented was the processing of waste into economically valuable products. Students are expected to be able to sort organic and non-organic trash, manage, and even sell processed products as creative economic products, especially those that support the tourism sector.
This activity was also filled with presentation about the philosophy of PPK ORMAWA, the contribution of student organizations, to the strategy of preparing proposals and the role of stakeholders.
And also presented speakers such as Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Sutresna, M.P, with material on the ORMAWA PPK Philosophy; Bagdawansyah Alqadri, S.Pd., M.Pd, with material on Ormawa’s contribution to ORMAWA PPK; Prof. Dr. Ir. Erwan, M.Si., with material on Proposers, Proposals, and Sub-proposals; and material on the Role of Stakeholders by Dr. Ida Ayu Oka Suwati Sideman, S.T., M.Sc.
With this socialization, it is hoped that Unram students can be more prepared and active in designing ORMAWA PPK programs that are sustainable, impactful, and able to become agents of change in the community.
