Unram Conducts University Work Meeting, Focuses on Academic Guidelines, Business Development, and Campus Facilities

Mataram, University of Mataram – Unram held a University Work Meeting (RKU) as an internal consolidation step in strengthening academic governance and institutional independence. The activity, which took place in the Rector’s Conference Room, on Friday (13/06/2025), became an important forum to discuss the finalization of Academic Guidelines, business development plans, and review of Public Service Agency (BLU) service rates in the campus environment.
Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in his speech emphasized that this meeting serves as a forum for evaluation and projection of various work programs in the future.
“The three main issues that we discuss today are important foundations for achieving Unram’s target as a superior and globally competitive university,” he said.
One of the main agendas in the RKU this time was the finalization of the Academic Guidelines as the main document for the implementation of learning at Unram. The discussion focused on curriculum alignment, optimizing the use of human resources in providing academic services, developing international classes, and discussing priority programs including fast track programs for students at Masters and Doctoral levels in hopes of strengthening the competitiveness of graduates and encouraging the acceleration of academic levels within Unram.
In an effort to strengthen financial independence, Unram also discussed strategies for developing campus business units including optimizing the use of agricultural land owned by Unram “This unit is not only a source of income, but also functions as a living laboratory for learning and empowering the academic community. In addition to enhancing quality and accreditation, this step is expected to be able to boost institutional income and optimize the utilization of facilities owned by Unram,” explained the Rector of Unram.
The meeting was also attended by Vice Rectors, Deans, Bureaus , and Heads of Institutions, who contributed input for the formulation of Unram’s future strategic plans.
