Unram Holds Workshop on Curriculum Design to Strengthen Character and Quality of Graduates

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram held a Workshop on Curriculum Design for Compulsory Courses (MKWK) as a strategic step to strengthen the quality of education and the character of graduates. The event, held on Wednesday (11/6/2025) in the Senate Meeting Room of the Unram Rectorate, was initiated by the Unram Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP) and attended by lecturers, heads of study programs, and LPMPP leadership.

The workshop aimed to reorganise and align the implementation of MKWK at Unram to align with national values, institutional vision, and the requirements of the national curriculum.

The chair of the event committee, Agus Kurnia, S.S., M.Ag., in his report expressed his hope that this forum could serve as a reflective space and strategic projection for curriculum development.

“Through this activity, we can identify the current state of MKWK implementation and formulate effective reconstructions to enhance the quality of education in the future,” he stated.

The Head of LPMPP, Dr. Ir. Sitti Latifah, M.Sc.F., IPU, emphasised in her opening remarks the importance of unifying mission and vision in curriculum implementation.

“Through this activity, it is hoped that the mission and vision of curriculum implementation at University of Mataram can be unified, so that the graduates we produce are not only competent in their fields but also possess character, national awareness, and global competitiveness,” she emphasised during the opening of the event.

This activity is part of Unram’s sustained efforts to build an adaptive, character-based, and relevant learning system in line with the needs of the times.
