Mataram, University of Mataram – The University of Mataram, through the Academic Support Unit for Counseling and Career Development (UPA BKPK), in collaboration with the Office of International Affairs (OIA), successfully held the DAAD Online Info Session on Tuesday (July 22) through Zoom Meeting. This event served as a platform to provide information on international scholarship opportunities for Unram’s lecturers, students, and alumni.

The event was officially opened by Unram’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Siti Hilyana, M.Si., who, in her remarks, emphasized the importance of broadening global perspectives and preparing Unram’s human resources to compete at the international level.

“We fully support initiatives like this, as they align with Unram’s commitment to promoting international mobility for lecturers, students, and alumni. Hopefully, this session will serve as a gateway for many of Unram’s younger generation to pursue education abroad, particularly in Germany,” said Prof. Nana.

The information session featured La Budza, Programme Officer for Scholarships Programs at DAAD Jakarta, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on various DAAD scholarship opportunities for Master’s and Doctoral programs in Germany. Participants also received practical guidance on how to search for study programs, the application process, and tips for submitting a successful application.

In addition to the presentation, the session also featured an inspiring story from DAAD scholarship awardee Dr.rer.nat. Lalu Rudyat Telly Savalas, M.Si., a lecturer at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Unram. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, which was met with great enthusiasm from the participants.

Through this initiative, Unram hopes to see more members of its academic community take steps toward pursuing higher education abroad, building international networks, and bringing back valuable knowledge and experiences to contribute to the nation’s progress.
