Unram Impact Expo 2025: A Collaboration of Research, Innovation, and Educational Engagement

Mataram, University of Mataram — The success of the University of Mataram (Unram) in organizing the Unram Impact Expo (11/29) at Lombok Epicentrum Mall extended far beyond the nine faculty booths showcasing academic works and innovations. A series of agenda items at the Expo served as an exclusive platform designed to deeply educate the public on strategic issues—reaching not only Unram students and academic staff, but also the broader community of West Nusa Tenggara.
In addition to presenting ideas, research outputs, and innovations from lecturers and students, Unram Expo also focused on research collaboration, innovation-based education, and improving public literacy. The division of the event into multiple sessions demonstrated Unram’s strong commitment to engaging wider audiences by ensuring that every element could be accessed and appreciated by the community.
The Expo featured several sessions functioning as important platforms for academics, students, and the general public to exchange insights on strategic topics ranging from research strengthening, sustainable welfare innovation, financial literacy, to health education. Supported by competent experts in their respective fields, the Expo offered a series of talk shows valuable for community development today and in the future.
One of the sessions focused on research, featuring Prof. Ir. Dahlanuddin, M.Rur.Sc., Ph.D. as the keynote speaker and moderated by Nur Aida Arifah Tara, Ph.D. Carrying the theme “Unram’s Research and Innovation Collaboration to Support Sustainable Development at National and Regional Levels,” this session explored strategies to ensure that Unram’s research outputs, ideas, and innovations generate real impact on development.
The next talk show highlighted the field of community service, themed “Impactful Innovations for Improving Community Welfare and Sustainable Development.” The session featured Saprini Hamdiani, M.Sc., Ph.D. as the speaker and was moderated by Nina Nisrina, S.Pd., M.Pd. The discussion focused on the importance of innovation in community service programs and emphasized multi-stakeholder collaboration to achieve inclusive development goals.
Beyond academic discussions, Unram Expo also showcased various performances by Unram’s Art and Culture Student Organization, featuring percussion, traditional dance, band performances, and solo singing. Sponsors and media partners also contributed to the event by hosting educational segments, including Electric Bicycle Education by Gridwiz, Investment Strategy Education by Varindo, Sport Tourism insights by ITDC, and Financial Literacy from Pegadaian.
Crucial issues such as health were also highlighted. The talk show “Healthy Lifestyle Talk: Smart Habits for Global Impact” featured urology specialist and Director of Unram Hospital for the 2024–2025 period, Dr. Akhada Maulana, Sp.U., Mars., moderated by M. Mukaddam Alaydrus, Sp.OT., M.Ked.Klin. The discussion explored how small individual habits can contribute to global well-being.
The “Unram Little Stars” performance by KB TK Rinjani Unram offered refreshing entertainment through Qur’an recitations, dance performances, and a marching band by the young students.
This was followed by “Let’s Talk English: Speak Up with Confidence!”—a session designed to help participants build confidence in English communication as preparation for future global engagement. The session featured Boniesta Zulandha Melani, M.A., Ph.D. (Head of Unram Language Center), and was moderated by Dr. Khusnul Khotimah, M.Pd.
Through a comprehensive series of programs blending education, technology, and culture, Unram Expo demonstrated the university’s commitment as an Excellent Campus in delivering relevant and multidimensional insights for all participants—from students and academic communities to the general public across West Nusa Tenggara.
