Unram Inaugurates 21 New Pharmacists, One of Them Achieves Perfect GPA

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) once again inaugurated 21 new pharmacists from the Pharmacist Professional Study Program Batch 2 for the 2024/2025 academic year. The inauguration ceremony took place solemnly on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at the Dr. dr. Yunita Sabrina Auditorium, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) Unram.

In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Systems, Prof. Akmaluddin, S.T., M.Sc. (Eng.), Ph.D. said that although this study program is still relatively new, the accreditation results have shown its quality.

“The Pharmacist Professional study program has just received accreditation with the title Excellent. This is a proud starting achievement,” he said.

The Dean of FKIK Unram, Dr. dr. Arfi Syamsun, Sp.KF., M.Si.Med., also said that, “In fact, in NTB there is still a lack of pharmacists , which amounts to approximately 2000 people, the hope is that after taking the oath pharmacists can continue the pharmacist profession in remote areas and proper guidance that is professional because the challenges in the future will increase and become more visible,” he said.

The oath-taking procession was led by Dr. Apt. Agriana Rosmalina Hidayati, S.Farm, M.Farm as the Head of the Health Science Department. The oath-taking was held solemnly, accompanied by an atmosphere of emotion and pride from the participants and their families.

One of the most touching moments was when the graduates hugged their parents after the inauguration, illustrating the long struggle behind their academic achievements.

The award for the best graduate was given to Apt. Elma Vanani Emilga, S.Farm., who achieved a perfect GPA of 4.00 and the highest CBT score of 88.00.

“We express our gratitude for reaching this point. On behalf of my colleagues, I would like to thank the lecturers, Deans and Vice-Dean who have helped and guided us on this journey. The knowledge given will be our provision in the future,” Elma said in her speech.

The event was closed by handing over souvenirs by alumni to the Dean of FKIK and the Head of PSPA FKIK Unram as well as giving awards to new pharmacists. This inauguration is not only the end of the educational process, but also the beginning of the professional responsibilities of young pharmacists in the world of health.
