Unram Records Outstanding Achievement with Four Awards at the 2025 Diktisaintek Awards

Mataram, University of Mataram — The University of Mataram (Unram) once again achieved a notable national milestone by receiving four prestigious awards at the 2025 Diktisaintek Awards, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendiktisaintek RI). The award ceremony was held on 19 December 2025 in Senayan, Jakarta.

The Diktisaintek Awards 2025 is an annual agenda that recognizes higher education institutions, organizations, and members of the academic community for their meaningful contributions and impact on the advancement of higher education, science, and technology. The ceremony commenced promptly at 1:00 p.m. (WIB) and proceeded smoothly, with a total of 547 awards presented to outstanding recipients across institutional, organizational, and individual categories from universities throughout Indonesia.

The event was attended by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, the Vice Ministers, rectors of public and private universities nationwide, representatives of LLDIKTI, partner institutions, and public relations officers from higher education institutions across Indonesia. The presence of these key stakeholders underscored the strategic importance of collaboration in strengthening and advancing the national higher education ecosystem.

The program commenced with the presentation of the activity report delivered by Togar Magihut Simatupang, Secretary General of Diktisaintek. In his report, he emphasized that the Diktisaintek Awards represent the government’s formal recognition of the performance and innovation of higher education institutions and members of the academic community whose contributions have generated tangible impacts on society and national development.

The event was then officially opened by the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Brian Yuliarto, Ph.D. In his remarks, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to continuously advancing the transformation of higher education, strengthening research and innovation, and accelerating the downstream utilization of research outcomes to ensure broad and sustainable benefits for society.

At the event, the University of Mataram received four awards across individual and institutional categories, namely:

  1. Gold Winner – Most Popular Public Relations Professional (AHD Category), awarded to Muhammad Surya Apriandika, S.Pd.

  2. Best Award – Laboratory Innovation Category, awarded to I Gusti Ayu Sri Andayani, S.Si.

  3. Silver Winner – Research Downstreaming (Hilirisasi) Awards, awarded to Dr. Kurniawan Yuniarto.

  4. Silver Winner – Public Relations Press Release Category, awarded to Public Relations Office of the University of Mataram.

This achievement underscores Unram’s strong commitment to fostering innovation, strengthening research downstreaming, and enhancing the strategic role of public relations as the institution’s frontline in public communication.

Rector of Unram, Prof. Bambang, expressed his appreciation and pride for the accomplishment. He emphasized that the awards were the result of collective effort, dedication, and synergy across the entire academic community, with a particularly significant contribution from the Unram Public Relations Team in building effective, credible, and impactful institutional communication.

This achievement is the result of our collective hard work. May this accomplishment serve as motivation to continue innovating and making tangible contributions to society,” Prof. Bambang stated.

These achievements at the 2025 Diktisaintek Awards further reinforce the University of Mataram’s standing as an adaptive, innovative, and impact-driven higher education institution, while underscoring its continued commitment to strengthening the quality of the tridharma of higher education at the national level.
