Unram Socializes SNPMB 2025 in Sumbawa Island

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) again held a socialization of new student admissions through the National Selection of New Student Admissions (SNPMB) 2025 on Sumbawa Island on January 20-21, 2025.

This activity aims to provide broader and more in-depth information about the various selection paths that can be followed by prospective students, as well as introduce more about Unram as one of Indonesia’s best universities, especially in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) region.

This socialization event was held at several locations on Sumbawa Island, which included Sumbawa Regency, West Sumbawa, Dompu, Bima Regency, and Bima City. A total of 14 schools were visited with a total of hundreds of participants consisting of high school / vocational / MA students. Students from surrounding schools also attended the socialization.

This socialization covered various important aspects related to new student admissions, including information on available selection pathways, registration requirements, study programs offered, as well as scholarship opportunities that can help alleviate education costs.

The Unram committee team consisting of lecturers and education staff explained in detail about the selection process involving SNPMB, National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), National Selection Based on Test (SNBT), and the Mandiri Pathway.

The Head of the Unram SNPMB Socialization Committee, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, revealed that the purpose of this activity was to provide prospective students with a clearer understanding of the existing selection paths.

“Through this socialization, we want to ensure that prospective students from Sumbawa Island have a better understanding of how to register, the selection paths that can be followed, and the requirements that must be fulfilled. In addition, we also want to introduce them to various study programs at Unram, so that they can make the right choice according to their interests and talents,” she said.

The enthusiasm of the participants was highly visible in the question and answer session, where a lot of students actively asked questions regarding registration, requirements, and study programs that match their interests. The participants seemed excited and optimistic after getting direct explanations from the university about various aspects related to new student admissions.

Unram is committed to not only be a university that serves prospective students from Lombok Island, but also from various other regions in NTB. Unram wants to provide equal opportunities for all children of the nation to obtain quality education without having to be constrained by distance or cost.

With the success of this socialization activity, Unram hopes to provide a clearer understanding and encourage more students from Sumbawa Island to continue their studies at Unram through SNPMB 2025.

This socialization is not only about providing information, but also serves as a platform to open up wider educational opportunities for young generation in NTB, especially in Sumbawa Island.
