Unram Steps Towards World Class University, Explore Cooperation with 3 Australian Universities
Mataram, University of Mataram – In order to achieve World Class University status, the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. opened the door to cooperation with three well-known universities in Australia. The three universities are Griffith University, University of Queensland, and University of Sydney.
The visit started on December 5, 2023 to Griffith University, continued to the University of Queensland on December 6, and ended at the University of Sydney on December 8.
The Rector’s initial visit to Griffith University went successfully, he was welcomed by Prof. Paulo de Souza, Dean (Research) of Griffith Sciences. Meanwhile at the University of Queensland, Prof. Bambang met with Prof. Mark Turner, Deputy Head of the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences. At the University of Sydney, Prof. Bambang met Prof. Stephen Cattle, Prof. Alex McBratney, and Prof. Damien Field from the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
The meeting yielded positive results, with an agreement to establish cooperation that will be formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This cooperation will be implemented in the Tridharma of Higher Education activities, involving the exchange of students, lecturers, and joint research between Unram and the three Australian universities. This step is expected to bring Unram to the top as a World Class University
