In the opening of the event at the Dome Building, Dwi Siswanto, S.Kom., M.M. as the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau reported that this activity is a form of program managed by the Indonesian Talent Development Center (BPTI). The talents developed consist of research and innovation, arts, and sports.
“This is the initial process in preparing Unram students for the Regional Student Art Week (Peksimida) which will be held in July. And to the next level, the National Student Art Week which will be held in September at Jakarta State University (UNJ),” Dwi explained.
Furthermore, the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of Unram, Dr. Sujita, S.T., M.T. in his speech said that art is an obligation in life.
“Students with special talents, for example, being able to read poetry, monologues and other special talents have natural abilities above average compared to students with high GPA scores,” said Dr. Sujita.
He emphasized that outstanding students are not only seen from their GPA scores, but also from the talents possessed by these students.
Through this Unram Student Art Week activity, it is hoped that students as a young generation can make achievements and make Unram proud at the national level.
