Mataram, University of Mataram – In order to improve facilities for the academic community, the University of Mataram (Unram) plans to build two free drinking water spots located near the Unram Foodcourt and and the meeting point of 4 faculties (close to the FEB cafetaria). This facility is designed to provide easy access to healthy and hygienic drinking water for all campus members.

The construction of these two free drinking water spots is supported by Bank BTN, which plays a role in distributing resupply station equipment to ensure the availability of clean water that is safe for consumption. With this facility, it is expected that Unram students and staff can more easily get drinking water without having to buy bottled water, thus reducing the use of disposable plastics.

On Friday, February 14, 2025, the Rector of Unram also directly reviewed the planned location of the free drinking water resupply station to ensure that this facility can be used optimally by the entire academic community.

“With the construction of this facility, students and the academic community will not need to buy water anymore. Just bring your own tumbler and refill it for free,” said Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D.

With these two free drinking water spots, Unram hopes to provide great benefits for the entire academic community, both in terms of health and efficient spending. In the future, Unram plans to add more drinking water spots in various strategic locations on campus.
