Mataram, University of Mataram – The Technical Implementation Unit for Counseling and Career Development at the University of Mataram (UPT BKPK Unram) collaborated with the Labor Market Center of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Pasker Kemnaker RI) and the Indonesia Career Center Network (ICCN) to hold a Public Lecture with the theme “Opportunities and Challenges in the World of Work in the Era of Society 5.0” in order to equip students before entering the world of work. The activity was held at the Unram Dome Building on Thursday (2/11).

This activity was attended directly by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni of Unram, Dr. Sujita, S.T., M.T. And also invited the Head of the Labor Market Center of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Muchammad Yusuf and President of ICCN, Teddy Indira Budiawa, S.Psi., MM. as presenters.

Dr. Sujita conveyed an important message in his speech, that in the current era of society 5.0, people are required to be able to take advantage of opportunities from the demographic bonus that Indonesia is currently experiencing.

“We are required to be able to develop creativity, soft skills, and also networking. Especially with the rapid development of technology, this will be an opportunity and even a challenge for us in the future,” he said.

The public lecture, which was attended by hundreds of students, aims to provide provisions for students in facing opportunities and challenges in the world of work in the Society 5.0 era. Hopefully, this activity can be the first step for students to prepare themselves before entering the world of work.
