WINIT 2024: Synergy of Unram and SNU Korea Encourages Global Innovation and Collaboration in the Era of Transformation

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram (FT Unram) and Seoul National University (SNU), Korea organised the World Innovation Network of Intelligence Transformation (WINIT) 2024 on the 2nd – 7th February 2024 at the FT Unram Hall.

A number of distinguished speakers have been invited to share their insights in this event. Among them are the Director of SNU Global R&DB Center, Prof. Jun-Seok Hwang; General Secretary of CityNet, Dr. Vijay Jagannathan; Managing Director of S-Cube Center, Dr. Budi Irmawati; SNU distinguished professor, Prof. Young-Sup Joo; Unram Informatics Engineering Researcher, Dr. Ida Bagus Ketut W.; and SNU Global R&DB Center Researchers, Jisoo Hur and Priscilla Ruiz.

WINIT 2024 was integrated with several types of activities including General Lecture and Celebrating Day on Friday (2/2), Pitching Day on Monday (5/2), Learning Day on Tuesday (6/2), and ASPP Alumni Networking on Wednesday (7/2).

The event was opened by the Dean of FT Unram, Ir. Muhamad Syamsu Iqbal, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. and Director of SNU Global R&DB Center, Prof. Jun-Seok Hwang.

In his speech, the Dean of FT Unram, Ir. Muhamad Syamsu Iqbal, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., invited the participants to explore global growth through K-Global transformation. “I hope this event can be a facility and forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience from the experts and academics in the field of technology and innovation,” he said. He also emphasised the importance of collaboration between nations in facing global challenges and strengthening innovation capacity.

Prof. Jun-Seok Hwang, Director of SNU Global R&DB Center, also expressed his hope that WINIT 2024 can be a momentum to encourage cross-border collaboration in developing technologies and innovations for a smarter future. He emphasised the importance of smart technology adoption to improve efficiency and productivity in various sectors, as well as address the complex challenges faced by today’s global society.

With a diverse range of activities and the presence of prominent speakers, WINIT 2024 is expected to make a significant contribution in inspiring and broadening the horizons of the participants, as well as strengthening the cooperation between the University of Mataram and Seoul National University.
