    Backed by the Central Government, Ekas Buana Appointed as the Global Seaweed Research Center

    Mataram, University of Mataram — The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the International Tropical Seaweed Research Center (ITSRC) and the Specialist Clinic of Marine Medicine was held on Thursday, 12 February 2026, in Ekas Buana, Jerowaru District, East Lombok Regency. The groundbreaking ceremony was carried out by the Vice Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Wamendiktisaintek RI), Prof. Stella Christie, Ph.D.; Rector of the University of Mataram (Unram), Prof. Ir.
