To realize Unram as a research-based higher education institution that is internationally competitive, the targets are structured as follows:

  1. The creation and implementation of a higher education system with strong national and international quality standards based on research at Unram, to be able to produce human resources of faith and devotion to God Almighty, virtuous, competent in their fields, and global insight.
  2. The creation and implementation of a national and international quality standard research system at Unram, to be able to produce science and technology that can add to the characteristics of science, become a reference for problem solving in society, support the quality learning process to students and community service on an ongoing basis.
  3. The creation and implementation of a community service system based on the results of research at Unram, so that Unram can make a significant contribution in solving various problems that arise in society, promoting economic growth, and building the social and culture of Indonesian society.
  4. The creation of an extensive network of cooperation with various parties, government and private agencies, at home and abroad, to be able to support the implementation of the tri dharma of higher education with national and international quality standards.

To achieve the above goals, in the Unram Long-Term Development Plan (RPJP) 2011-2025, general strategic programs and policies are prepared which are divided into 3 (three) stages of development. Detailed strategic formulation at each stage is detailed in the Strategic Plan (RENSTRA) document which is a five-year development plan, and the Operational Plan (RENOP) which contains a one-year program of activities. Here are the stages/milestones set to achieve VMTS:

  • Period I (2011 – 2015): Strengthening Unram’s competitiveness at the national level.
  • Period II (2016 – 2020): Strengthening Unram’s competitiveness at the regional (Asia) level.
  • Period III (2021 – 2025): Strengthening Unram’s competitiveness at the international level.
