Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) accepted as many as 212 students of freedom to learn independent campus (MBKM), independent student exchange program (PMM 3) from 104 PTN PTS throughout Indonesia.

As for the Tribal Chief, the name for the head of PMM 3 batch is Aldis Priya Anggaraksa from Merdeka Malang University . For Aldis, Unram is one of the best campuses in NTB and is located in Mataram, Lombok which has an interesting geography seen from its beautiful landscapes so it is interesting to explore.

“So you can immediately benefit educationally and enjoy the beauty of Lombok Island. My first impression of arriving in Unram was ‘wow broad huh’. Unram is quite spacious with a landscape that is quite a lot of scenery and has an interesting building shape, making Unram has its own uniqueness,” explained Aldis, a student of Communication Science Study Program.

In agreement with the Head of PMM 3, Wahyu Putra Prada, a student of the Law Study Program at Tanjung Pura University, revealed that Unram has a supportive academic environment and experienced teaching staff.

“This is a pedestrian-friendly campus because there are sidewalks and shady trees in the Unram area. I was very impressed by the university’s friendly and vibrant atmosphere, many of which were happy to provide information and assistance and created a very welcoming environment. And I feel this place will be a place that supports my self-development well,” said Wahyu.

This PMM program provides opportunities for all students in Indonesia to experience learning outside their respective university environments, so that they can feel the beauty and cultural diversity of various regions throughout Indonesia.

And to join the PMM program, students need to equip themselves with strong knowledge, openness to differences, and the ability to adapt to new environments and cultures. In addition, the willingness to learn and interact actively is also indispensable so that the experience in this program can provide maximum benefits for their personal and academic development.

The same thing was done by PMM 3 program students studying at Unram, such as Muhammad Rafly Nur Wachid who prepared himself especially in the soul and mental. Because Unram was far from his home area, he felt a great responsibility on himself to complete the exchange activities to completion and still instill a great intention to learn.

“I will share the knowledge and insights I gained during this exchange program and I will guide new students to build communities from various regions to collaborate with each other in learning,” said Rafly, a student from Muhammadiyah Purwokerto University.

And to join the PMM program, of course, there is a process that must be taken. The student of the English Language Education Study Program at Semarang State University, Valinda Reviani, was very enthusiastic in sharing her experience in participating in the PMM program.

“I learned about this PMM program through social media and was very interested in joining this program. So the first thing I did was to find out information about the requirements and others through the official PMM website. Then, follow all stages correctly such as registration, filling in biodata, choosing the destination university, taking the national insight test, etc. Praise God after being declared passed, I began to pay in installments for the needs that I might need while in Lombok,” he explained.

For Valinda, participating in the PMM 3 program at Unram is something she is very grateful for because this experience will be an unforgettable learning memory for the rest of her life.

With the slogan “Exchange Temporarily, Meaningful Forever” makes the learning moments of PMM 3 students meaningful. As Cut Oulia Faradila, a student from National Islamic University of Indonesia said, “exchanging for 1 semester to get to know a new environment, a new culture, new friends, and learn to adapt in a new place that is only temporary but will be an unforgettable experience. Changes that are considered temporary but have an unexpectedly long impact.”

Not only Oulia, but all PMM 3 students hope that in the future communication between PMM 3 students and Unram students will never be interrupted. And every knowledge and experience they gain at Unram they can bring and share to their respective home campuses.
