UAD Benchmarking Conducted Career Development at Unram
Mataram, the University of Mataram – Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) visited the University of Mataram (Unram) in the context of benchmarking “Career Development for Educational Staff (Librarians, Educational Laboratory Staff and Programmers)”. This activity took place on Thursday (31/8) in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate.
The meeting was attended by the UAD group consisting of the Head of the Bureau, Head of Selection and Career Development, Head of Performance Evaluation, Head of Education and Training, Head of Selection and Career Management, Head of Performance Affairs, and several UAD staff.
The Visit by UAD was welcomed warmly by the Rector of Unram, Vice Rector for General and Financial Affairs, Head of the General and Financial Affairs Bureau, Head of UPT. Pustik, Head of UPT. Library, Coordinator and Sub-Coordinator within the Unram Rectorate.
Unram Rector, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. started his speech by briefly introducing Unram’s profile to UAD. He said that Unram is currently continuing to improve its human resources, both educational staff (tendik) and lecturers.
“We really want to improve the educational qualifications of staff and lecturers. “For students, we have prepared an educational assistance budget and for lecturers there is research assistance as well as educational assistance,” explained Prof. Bambang.
To UAD, the Rector of Unram explained that Unram laboratory staff were given courses and even sent to attend courses, training and workshops outside Unram. This is intended to increase the capacity of laboratories at Unram. Prof. Bambang also mentioned future plans to form an Academic Support Unit, where this unit will manage educational laboratories and research laboratories.
Not only that, the Unram Faculty of Agriculture professor explained the programmers at UPT. Pustik continues to be added due to UPT. Pustik is one of Unram’s hearts which is very crucial. So, it needs attention. And it was also conveyed that the Unram Library has also improved its services, where the Unram Library currently has subscriptions for 11,000 journals and will continue to be added, and the service hours are open until 9 pm.
“Even so, we are learning to develop careers at Unram. And we also need to learn from UAD so that we can jointly advance and develop our respective universities,” said Prof. Bambang.
In addition, Dr. Hendro Widodo, S.Pd.I., M.Pd. as Head of the UAD Human Resources Bureau said that his arrival at Unram was based on the career development side of Unram staff which was quite good and which they could learn from.
“We have a passion for developing a student’s career. And we hope that we can share and discuss with each other, especially maybe we can discuss development from the librarian side,” said Dr. Hendro.
In the future, the Head of the UAD HR Bureau also hopes that Unram will have the opportunity to visit UAD in Yogyakarta. The benchmarking visit was also coupled with the exchange of plaques between Unram and UAD.
