SKK Migas Jabanusa Held Public Lecture at Unram, Reveals the Contribution of Upstream Oil and Gas in National Energy Security
Mataram, the University of Mataram – SKK Migas and Jabanusa PSC Contractors (Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara) conducted public lectures related to socialization of upstream oil and gas industry activities. The public lecture with the theme “Upstream Oil and Gas Contribution to National Energy Security” was held on Thursday (7/9) in the Senate Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate.
The public lecture is intended to provide in-depth insight into the activities of the upstream oil and gas industry and highlight the importance of this sector’s contribution to national energy security.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in his remarks said that SKK Migas is an institution that supervises companies conducting exploration and exploitation, as well as coordinating.
According to data, SKK Migas has contributed 700 trillion in 2022. The Rector of Unram also highlighted the importance of the pentahelix concept which involves government, industry, academia, society and the media.
“We must continue to encourage and synergize the contribution of these five pentahelix elements,” said Prof. Bambang.
Prof. Bambang also invited students to take advantage of the opportunity at this public lecture as a form of pentahelix collaboration and gain in-depth knowledge that might not be obtained from ordinary lectures.
Ir. Nurwahidi, MBA as the Head of SKK Migas Jabanusa Representative, explained that SKK Migas Jabanusa is one of five representatives throughout Indonesia who are responsible for coordinating and supervising upstream oil and gas industry activities in the Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions.
In this public lecture, Nurwahidi also explained material related to Industry’s Contribution to National Energy Security, and Socialization of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP), that are important aspects in maintaining the integrity of the oil and gas industry.
The SKK Migas-KKKS Jabanusa public lecture presented three speakers, the first was Andiono Setiawan, S.T. (KKKS Petronas Carigali Kepatang II Ltd) presented material on Collaborating with Stakeholders to Promote Positive Impact (Collaborating with Stakeholders to Promote Positive Impacts-ed).
Then, Didi Yulistian (Project Manager Kangean Energy Indonesia) delivered material about Upstream Oil and Gas Industry Activities. And the last was Ir. David Tobling, M.T. (KKKS PT. Pertamina EP Zone 11) with material regarding Pertamina Subholding Upstream/Upstream Role for Oil and Gas Security.
