UPT BKPK Unram Conducted Partner Meeting in Context of Improving Alumni Quality and Competitiveness

Mataram, the University of Mataram – The Technical Implementation Unit for Counseling Guidance and Career Development at the University of Mataram (UPT. BKPK Unram) held a Partner Meeting in order to strengthen cooperation between industrial partners. The meeting was attended by more than 70 partners on Thursday (14/9) in the Senate Meeting Room, Floor III of the Rectorate Building. the activity under the theme “Higher Education Collaboration with the Business and Industrial Worlds in the Context of Improving the Quality and Competitiveness of Alumni”.

Representing the Rector of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, M.Si., as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs really appreciated the activities that was conducted by UPT. The BKPK also warmly welcomed invited partner guests who took the time to discuss the potential and quality of Unram alumni and also discussions related to alumni users.

“We are directed to build a network with stakeholders. “The industrial world needs to be present in complementing and supporting the development of education at the University,” he explained.

The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs emphasized that it is not only lecturers who teach students, but there are also teaching practitioner programs that can be carried out at the University. There are 5 big points that are important notes for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, Technology and Higher Education, one of them is how to build networks with industry.

“This Partner Meeting should not be the first and last. “We hope that our fellow partners will identify the needs of each partner, then enter through the doors of the UPT BKPK Unram as the job center, and Unram will select the best graduates,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the Head of UPT BKPK Unram Pujiarohman, S.Psi., M.Psi (Psychologist), said that the Partner Meeting agenda involved colleagues in West Nusa Tenggara and hope to be able to absorb the workforce well at Unram.

“Hopefully this is the first step to be able to bring together the maximum workforce, we hope there will be progress in collaboration in this agenda,” he concluded
