Prof. Bambang in his speech said that the current industrial revolution 4.0 provides new challenges to continue to develop, due to innovation turbulence due to volatile ecosystems, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.
“You must be reliable learners who are competent, intelligent, agile and adaptive, able to seize opportunities, and be ready to face future challenges which continue to increase along with advances in science and technology. “This condition forces us to grow smarter with technological literacy and other new literacies in order to increase our various skills which include problem solving, creative, communicative, collaborative, character and national insight,” he said.
The 10th Rector of Unram hopes that Unram graduates will be able to utilize the knowledge they have to help society, the business world, the industrial world, government and other partners in solving increasingly complex problems and challenges in the future.
“A person’s success is not determined by their GPA only or the top alma mater where they studied, but rather by their soft skills such as honesty, discipline, social intelligence, hard work, love of work, strong leadership and a competitive and creative personality,” concluded the Rector of Unram when quoting the statement of American business expert by Thomas J. Stanley.
Lastly, Prof. Bambang advised the graduates to become agents of change for the nation, through hard work, creativity, innovation, and always upholding the values of honesty and discipline.
