“Although the electricity has not been traded to Singapore, the scholarship will still be given to Unram students. They help us, especially for students completing their thesis. Please optimize the use of these funds, which I emphasize to the faculty of engineering, especially to focus on the thesis with the renewable energy theme, research using solar panels to drive a pump that is able to suck water from a depth of 20-30 m,” he said.
It is hoped that with this public lecture and scholarship awarding, students can produce useful technology, not only for universities but also for the community in general.
Prof. Bambang also wants to challenge students and lecturers to think creatively and find solutions to every problem, see what can be helped with the technology produced by universities, so that we can help fishermen and also farmers who live on arid area.
“We also visited shrimp farms in East Lombok, we want to encourage the use of solar energy to fulfil the needs of energy driving windmills and Nanobubble machines that produce air bubbles that are more effective in transferring oxygen in water to supply the oxygen requirements of shrimp”, he said.
