Actualize Synergy among the Youth: Unram and Densus 88 AT Hold Nationality Dialogue
Mataram, University of Mataram – Densus 88 AT NTB together with the University of Mataram (Unram) held a public lecture with the theme ” Build Synergy to Prevent the Spread of Intolerance, Radicalism and Terrorism among the Young Generation” which took place at the Unram Dome Building on Sunday (10/12).
The Rector of Unram, represented by the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni Dr. Sujita, S.T., M.T., in his remarks said that this activity was a very important activity and appreciated the arrival of students who remained enthusiastic to attend on Sunday morning to increase their curiosity in gaining knowledge.
The speakers in this activity were Dr. M. Najih Arromadloni, M.Ag., Secretary of the Indonesian Ulema Council’s Countering Extremism and Terrorism Agency (BPET MUI Centre); Dr. Wachid Ridwan, MA, Executive Board of LHKI (Institute of Law and International Cooperation) Central Leader of Muhammadiyah; Bahrudin Ahmad, Former Terrorism Prisoner.
Dr. Sujita said that intellectuals should not be trapped in the theory of development in books or circulating on the internet alone but we must study more deeply with higher scholars so that we are not trapped and misguided about the information obtained.
He encouraged students to follow this very important activity to the end and hoped that this event could run smoothly and could provide benefits to students.
Head of the NTB Regional Task Force of Densus 88 AT Police, Bogiek Sugiyarto, SH, SIK, MH, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the Rector of Unram for facilitating this activity, so that there will be an ideological vaccine that we get after this very useful activity and to Unram Academic Community who have organized the National Dialogue activities and to the three speakers who are currently able to take the time to attend this activity.
He said that approximately one month ago Densus 88 in the NTB region conducted law enforcement against the Ansor Daulat network in the NTB region. Ansor Daulat is a network that is oriented towards ISIS and the average members are young people between the ages of 15-30 years old and is centered in Lombok.
“The law enforcement process that we carried out yesterday was very heavy in making the final decision because the perpetrators were unscrupulous civil servants and students, but we had to be forced to do so because if we did not enforce the law, there would be terror incidents that would victimize the community and apparatus. From law enforcement, we have been able to prevent criminal acts of terror, including plans to attack a police post, plans to commit robbery, and plans to attack a place of worship in the Mataram area, so that the threat is real and there has been planning and preparation, so we must enforce the law,” he said.
Bogiek Sugiyarto expressed his hope that this activity could become a media for exchanging information and obtaining information related to the development of radicalism in Indonesia, especially in the NTB region.
This activity is the first step in realizing synergy among the younger generation to prevent the spread of intolerance, radicalism and terrorism, and afterwards there will be ongoing activities again initiated by Unram and Densus 88 AT.
