Unram Graduates 978 Students in the December 2023 Graduation Period

Mataram, University of Mataram – The graduation ceremony of the University of Mataram (Unram) for the December 2023 period was held for one day with a total of 978 graduates, consisting of 36 Masters, 909 Bachelors, 9 professionals and 24 diplomas at Auditorium M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Unram on Tuesday (12/23).

It was recorded that 10.76% of graduates / graduates of undergraduate programs obtained Cum Laude predicates. Meanwhile, of the total graduates / graduates of the Master’s program, 27.50% received the cum laude predicate.

Rector Of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. appreciates the hard work of graduates and congratulates the parents who attended the graduation ceremony. In his speech, Prof. Bambang emphasized that Unram graduates must be able to become competent, intelligent, agile and adaptive learners who seize opportunities, and are ready to face future challenges that continue to increase as science and Technology Progress.

“The current conditions force us to grow smart with technology literacy and other new literacy to add various skills that include problem solving, creative, communicative, collaborative, national character, and intelligent,” explained Prof. Bambang.

The 10th Rector of Unram also reminded that unram graduates must be able to become job creators, not job seekers, who have creative and innovative ideas, have hard skills and soft skills, and are equipped with leadership and strong personality.

In addition, in his speech Prof. Bambang also brought two good news, including the success of Unram to reach the rank of 15 state universities in Indonesia and the increase in the number of unram professors from the initial 62 to 96 professors.

At the end of his speech, Prof. Bambang delivered a quote from Thomas J. Stanley, Ph.D. (USA business expert), “a person’s success is not determined by GPA alone or by the top university where they study, but is determined by soft skills such as honesty, discipline, Intelligence, hard work, love of work, strong leadership and competitive and creative personality.”

Not only giving encouragement and motivation, the professor of the Faculty of Agriculture of Unram also gave a stunning performance by sang a Sumbawa folk song entitled “Poto Tano” and the song “I love you as you are” from the musician Once Mikel in collaboration with Unram students.
