Increase Every Year, Unram Officially Releases Students for PMM Outbound 4

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) officially released the University of Mataram Ambassador of the Unram Independent Student Exchange Program (PMM) which was also coupled with the Unram 2024 PMM 4 Outbound Debriefing on Wednesday (17/1) at the Unram Dome building. There are 302 students from 8 Faculties and Study Programs Under the Rector (PSDR) who have been accepted for PMM Outbound batch 4 by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2024.

The interest of University of Mataram Outbound Participants continues to increase every year. A total of 520 students registered for the 2024 PMM program, this number has increased from the previous year, which was 440 registrants. The number of participants who qualified for PMM 2024 consisting of 302 students also increased from the previous year, 281 people.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Sitti Hilyana, M.Si as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs expressed her appreciation for the extraordinary achievements in the PMM 2024 program.
“Alhamdulillah, every year Unram continues to increase both inbound and outbound. The number of outbound participants continues to increase every year and this year 302 students successfully passed, on the other hand we are also very happy because the inbound from various universities that will come to Unram also continues to increase, “said Prof. Nana.

Prof. Nana in his speech addressed notes regarding the implementation of outbound in the future, which is the mapping of superior study programs (prodi) in each university so that the outbound goals are truly achieved. These superior study programs will later be socialized by the Head of Study Program to students so that they can become outbound destinations. This mapping is very important in order to achieve accuracy in choosing study programs and university destinations.

“There is an important message from the rector for outbound 2024 students, the alma mater attached to our body is not just a shirt that wraps the body, but will also wrap our souls. Our souls must always be polite wherever we are. Learn the habits and new things that exist at the destination university so that we can blend in and not become strangers because we look different from other people, “said Prof. Nana.

The largest number of PMM participants came from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) with 110 people, followed by the Faculty of Law, Social and Political Sciences (FHISIPOL) with 70 people, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) with 55 people, the Faculty of Agriculture with 30 people, the Faculty of Engineering with 20 people, the Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences (MIPA) with 11 people, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry with 4 people, the Faculty of Food Engineering and Agroindusti (Fatepa) with 1 participant, and PSDR with 1 participant.

Aurelius R.L. Teluma, S.S., MA as the PMM PIC Coordinator of the University of Mataram in his presentation explained the distribution of Unram 2024 PMM destination universities. PMM participants are spread across 66 universities throughout Indonesia with a distribution of 33 people at Padjadjaran University (Unpad), 23 people at the Indonesian Education University (UPI), 21 people at Malang State University (UM), 20 people at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), 15 people at Airlangga University (Unair), 11 people at Sebelas Maret University (UNS), 10 people at Sriwijaya University (Unsri), 10 people at Medan State University (Unimed), 10 people at Veteran National Development University of East Java (Upnjatim), 9 people at Jember University (Unej), 9 at University of General Soedirman (Unsoed), 7 at Brawijaya University (UB), 7 at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), 6 at University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), 5 at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (Untirta), 5 people at Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), 4 people at Tadulako University (Untad), 4 people at University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida), 4 people at University of August 17, 1945 Banyuwangi (Untag Banyuwangi), 4 people at IKIP Budi Utomo, and 3 people at University of Indonesia (UI).

At the end of his speech, Prof. Nana conveyed a message to not be hesitant to continue learning, because learning is seen as an opportunity. One of the essences of PMM is that in addition to gaining knowledge through learning, it also learns about various tribes in Indonesia through social interaction.
