Indonesia’s demographic bonus in 2030 provides great hope if Indonesia’s young generation is prepared from now on. A future full of competition in the fields of digital technology, robotics, automation, energy and the environment, health, tourism, and genetic engineering can only be achieved by human resources who are future-oriented and shaped by the transformation of Higher Education so that they become superior, competitive, adaptive, flexible, productive, competitive graduates with the character of Pancasila.

The implementation of this policy is outlined in Permendikbud 03 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards and Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 754 / P / 2020 concerning Main Performance Indicators for State Universities (IKU-PTN). Each institution is expected to transform higher education that is in line and in harmony with the 8 (eight) IKU.

LPPM Unram as the embryo of research and service in Unram through collaboration with universities, especially in eastern Indonesia, is expected to be able to boost the IKU issued by the Minister of Education and Culture to realize adaptive universities based on more concrete outputs as a measuring tool to accelerate the implementation of Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).

The cooperation signed included Lambung Mangkurat University with 29 universities in Eastern Indonesia. Kalimantan University of Technology with Lambung Mangkurat University, BJ Habibie Institute of Technology and University of Mataram, and Borneo Tarakan University with University 19 November Kolaka, KKUB, and CEISU, UNM, Unhas and Unsulbar.

In addition, Khairun Ternate University also signed collaborations with Brunei University of Technology, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, Swinburne University of technology Sarawak, Mara Cawangan University of Technology Sarawak, University Putra Malaysia-Bintulu Campus, and Curtin University Malaysia.

Prof. Sukartono, as the Head of LPPM Unram hopes, “Hopefully this collaboration will be a collaboration that brings progress to Higher Education, especially Unram. A good climate for improving KPIs with innovative, flexible learning situations, based on problems in society and / or industry needs. Therefore, it is able to produce quality lecturers, researchers and graduates with responsive, adaptive, and highly competitive human resources.”
