Mataram, University of Mataram – The Association of Early Childhood Teacher Education (APG) and PG-PAUD FKIP Unram held a National Conference and Seminar themed Transition of Early Childhood Education through Home, School and Community Partnerships on Thursday (11/7) at Aruna Hotel, Senggigi.

Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D in his speech revealed that early childhood is a Golden Age phase that has potential that still needs to be developed. “Early childhood is a small human being who has potential that still has to be developed, so it is often called the Golden Age. The knowledge and understanding of the community, schools, parents in parenting children is very influential on the growth and development of children and their future,” he said.

“However, in reality there are still misconceptions related to the development of how to educate children, what they should get for each level of education should be our common concern, so that early childhood education can be the right provision to continue basic education,” he added.

On the other hand, the Head of the NTB Provincial Education and Culture Office, Dr. H. Aidy Furqan, M.Pd. conveyed a message that PG-PAUD FKIP Unram could continue to innovate the quality of education and collaborate with various parties.

“I would like to convey a message to the ranks of FKIP Unram, first so that PG-PAUD FKIP Unram can continue to innovate the quality of education and establish cooperation with various parties, second so that PAUD can focus on empowering PAUD teachers in improving teacher competence, third so that PG-PAUD FKIP Unram and APG PAUD can continue to synergize with the central government in order to improve the competence and qualifications of PAUD teachers in NTB Province,” he said.

Through this activity is expected to add deep insight in improving the quality of early childhood education in Indonesia, especially West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
