UPA Integrated Laboratory Unram Holds Workshop on Finalization of Fees and SOPs for Laboratory Use
Mataram, University of Mataram – In order to increase income generating towards the status of State University with Legal Status (PTN-BH), UPA Integrated Laboratory of the University of Mataram (Unram) held a workshop entitled Finalization of Service Fees and SOPs for the Use of Laboratory Facilities and Infrastructure. The workshop took place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in the Senate Conference Room of Unram, and was attended by laboratory leaders from various faculties.
Head of UPA Integrated Laboratory Unram, Eka Sunarwidhi Prasedya, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., in his speech expressed his hope that this workshop would produce a strategic agreement. “We hope this event can achieve important agreements related to laboratory service fees and SOPs for the use of facilities and infrastructure. The heads of laboratories from each faculty can discuss to formulate strategies to ensure Unram’s continuous progress,” he said.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., was also present and shared his perspective on the importance of strengthening laboratory coordination at Unram. “Previously, coordination between laboratories in Unram was poor, and there were even faculties that looked for laboratories in other faculties for practicum. The establishment of the UPA Integrated Laboratory is an effort to improve these conditions,” she explained.
The Rector also highlighted the importance of developing research and education laboratories together. “We will develop these two laboratories by maximizing what already exists. But in the future, we need to improve the system in order to be more integrated, both in terms of lending, payment, and data collection of laboratory needs,” he added.
The UPA Integrated Lab management system will be implemented as a whole, from lending facilities to managing fees and payments. Prof. Bambang also hopes that all laboratory needs can be recorded before the beginning of the new academic year, so that management becomes more efficient.
The Rector believes that with these steps, Unram will grow and be ready to achieve PTN-BH status in the near future.
This workshop is expected to be an important step in the development of laboratories at Unram, which not only support student practicum activities, but also support research that has a wider impact.
