Mataram, University of Mataram – The University of Mataram (Unram) successfully held an Art Feast as the highlight of the 62nd Anniversary celebration on Saturday (11/16) at the Unram Rectorate Field. This year’s anniversary event was themed “Transforming towards a World Class University for Golden Indonesia” and was attended by hundreds of participants, ranging from the academic community, Unram alumni, and the general public.

The event was opened with the banging of the gong as a sign of the commencement of the event by the Rector of Unram, and accompanied by all Vice Rectors, Chairman of the Committee, Chairman of the Senate, all Faculty Deans, Chairman of LPMPP, and Chairman of LPPM.

The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D in his speech expressed his hope for the progress of Unram in the future.

“Hopefully with this 62nd anniversary, Unram can develop, and continue to prosper. To build a university, not only two people are enough but we need to work together to continue build Unram,” he said.

“Hopefully the blessings of the Almighty will continue to flow to Unram, and be given health, strength, and sincerity to continue to build Unram,” he added.

Agustono Setiawan, S.T., M.Sc., as the Chairperson of the Unram Anniversary Committee this year also submitted a report and hopes about the series of events of the 62nd Unram Anniversary.

“The series of anniversary events have been held since last October, starting from international seminars, national seminars, community service, national collaboration, social services, mass circumcision, blood donation, and mangrove planting. In addition, there are also competitions, such as futsal competitions, DWP and student volleyball competitions, badminton, and several other activities. Hopefully, Unram will be more victorious, superior, and globally competitive,” he said.

Various series of interesting events were presented in this event, starting with Fun Run activities and healthy walks throughout the Unram Academic Community. In addition, there were also various kinds of exciting entertainment, and ended with the distribution of door prizes and prizes for the winners of competitions.

With the spirit of collaboration and innovation, this 62nd Anniversary is proof that Unram continues to be committed to becoming a university that has a real impact on society and the nation.
