FT Unram Welcomes UiTM Malaysia Delegation in Student Mobility Inbound Program

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Mataram (FT Unram) officially welcomed a delegation of students from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, at the opening ceremony of the Student Mobility Inbound program.
The event, held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, aims to strengthen academic collaboration between the two institutions, particularly in the field of architecture.
The Head of the Architecture Study Program at FT Unram, Dr. Ir. Rini S. Saptaningtyas, S.T., M.Sc, IPM, ASEAN.Eng., kicked off the welcoming session warmly.
This was followed by a speech from the UiTM Malaysia representative, who also expressed great hopes for this collaboration.
As a formal sign of the program’s commencement, the Dean of FT Unram, Ir. Muhammad Syamsu Iqbal, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., delivered a speech and officially opened the event. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of international exchange of knowledge and culture.
Following the opening session, the event continued with the main activity: a guest lecture titled “Traditional Architecture of Lombok Course: Sade Village.” This in-depth session was presented by Dr. Rini S. Saptaningtyas, who guided participants in exploring the uniqueness of Lombok’s traditional architecture. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session between students and the speaker.
As part of an introduction to the unique and environmentally friendly campus, participants took a campus tour using electric bicycles from GRIDWIZ. This experience gave them the opportunity to see the campus environment and facilities of Unram firsthand. The entire event concluded with a group photo session, capturing the valuable moments of this international collaboration.
Through this student mobility program, it is hoped that stronger collaborative ties will be established between UiTM and the Faculty of Engineering at Unram, particularly in the areas of academia, research, and academic development within the Architecture Program.
