Mataram, University of Mataram — The Academic Support Unit (UPA) Library of the University of Mataram (Unram) organized a Student Scientific Writing Workshop at the Library Hall. The event, themed “International Publications as a Pillar for Enhancing Academic Competitiveness,” took place over two days, Thursday–Friday, October 30–31, 2025.

In his remarks, the Head of the Library UPA, Muslimin, S.Sos., M.M., expressed his hope that the workshop would inspire participants to produce increasingly qualified scientific works that could reach reputable international journals.

“This workshop is a tangible effort to encourage the creation of student scientific works that meet global standards. We aim to foster students’ motivation to continuously develop their skills in publishing academic papers, which in turn reflects the quality of Unram graduates,” he said.

The event was attended by lecturers and students from various academic levels and featured four distinguished speakers: Prof. Aris Doyan, M.Si., Ph.D.; Dr. Subhan Purwadinata, S.E., M.E.; Dr. Supratman, S.Pd., M.Pd.; and Handoko Bagaskara from Springer Nature. The speakers shared insights on writing and publication strategies, along with practical tips for successfully submitting to international journals. The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion with participants.

In his remarks, Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau of Unram, Dwi Suswanto, S.Kom., M.M., expressed his full support for the organization of the scientific writing workshop.

“On this occasion, Unram continues to strengthen its commitment to quality assurance. One of the key areas of development lies in student scientific writing. A strong scientific paper always begins with strong, credible sources particularly from accredited journals. That is what we aim to enhance through this workshop,” he explained.

Through interactive discussions and hands-on writing practice, this workshop reflects Unram’s concrete commitment to contributing to the global academic sphere while continuously improving the quality of its graduates.
