Accelerating Local Community Empowerment, Unram Holds KKN Product Exhibition

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held an exhibition of Real Work Study Village Community Empowerment (KKN-PMD) products at the Unram Rectorate Field on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The event was attended by the academic community, KKN students, and KKN field supervisors.
The exhibition focused on innovations produced by KKN-PMD students in the context of community empowerment in the villages where they serve. Some of the products produced have their own characteristics and emphasize certain advantages, which attracted the attention of visitors during the event.
The products on display showed high creativity, ranging from environmentally friendly products to creative works that highlight the potential of local villages. The existence of this exhibition is expected to have a positive impact, both in social, economic and environmental aspects for the villages involved.
Dr. Misbahuddin, S.T., M.T., as the Coordinator of KKN-PMD Activities, said that this exhibition was the final result of a series of KKN-PMD activities. This activity is also a form of celebration for the success of students in completing the KKN-PMD program which lasts for 45 days. In addition, this exhibition is expected to produce products that are worth displaying at the NTB Mall, such as creative products, tourism village products, and digital marketing.
“On this sunny morning, we can gather to celebrate the results of KKN activities that began with a survey and ended with this product exhibition. Hopefully the products shown today can have a positive impact on all of us, and can have the opportunity to be exhibited at the NTB Mall. Previously, products exhibited at NTB Mall included creative products, tourism villages, and digital marketing,” he said.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. also expressed his appreciation for this exhibition and the various innovations produced by students. The innovation is expected to provide direct benefits to the community, introduce new insights, and have a positive impact on the village economy. To ensure that this community service process continues to run optimally, continuous monitoring and good communication with the relevant villages are needed.
“What the students are currently doing should be appreciated because they are all impressive. KKN is a form of community service, and with these products, we hope to provide real benefits to the village community. Hopefully, exhibitions like this can continue, and I hope we do not break communication with the village or related stakeholders,” he said.
With this activity, it is hoped that the KKN-PMD products displayed can be promoted at the NTB Mall as a commercialization effort. In addition, the KKN-PMD exhibition is expected to continue to be held so that the community is more familiar with various innovations from products that have high value. Unram will continue to be committed to community service by providing real and beneficial impacts.
