Discussion and Public Lecture Universita Ca’ foscari Venezia Italy: Assess Natural Phenomena in Indonesia Towards World Climate Variability
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held a discussion and public lecture related to potential cooperation with Prof. Angelo Rubino and Prof. Davide Zanchettin from Universita Ca’ foscari Venezia, Italy on Monday 6/5 morning.
The discussion began in the Rector’s Conference Room which was attended by the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., and the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Akmaluddin, ST., M.Sc.(Eng), Ph.D. Also joined by the Head of LPPM, Postgraduate Director, and Deans throughout Unram.
In this discussion, discussed how natural phenomena such as volcanic eruptions in Indonesia, especially NTB such as the eruption of Mount Tambora, affect the world climate which later will have further research and will work with faculties or study programs in Unram.
Then after the discussion, Prof. Angelo Rubino and Prof. Davide Zanchettin became Keynote Speakers in the Public Lecture by raising 2 topics entitled “Intrinsic and Remotely Induced Variability in the Mediterranean Sea or Inflate Uncertainties” and “Indonesia Volcanoes Critical for Climate Variability: An Earth System Modeling Perspective”.
This public lecture took place in the Senate Conference Room, 3rd floor of the Unram Rectorate building and was attended by dozens of students from various study programs.
