Mataram, University of Mataram – The Independent Campus Independent Learning and Main Performance Indicators Implementation Unit of the University of Mataram (UP MBKM-IKU Unram) officially released students of the Certified Internship and Independent Study Program (MSIB) Batch 7 and Teaching Campus (KM) Batch 8 on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Unram Dome Building.
Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, & Information Systems, Prof. Akmaluddin, ST., M.Sc. (Eng), Ph.D., in his remarks expressed his appreciation to the students selected in this MBKM program. Prof. Akmaluddin emphasized that the MBKM program is one of the programs that is highly beneficial for students because it provides learning opportunities and experiences that are not only limited to their own campus but also open up insights into the outside world, both the industrial world and other universities for self-development.
“This is an excellent opportunity for participants of MSIB 7 and Teaching Campus 8 to develop competencies obtained from campus in theory, which can later be implemented and get feedback. So that the knowledge gained later becomes complete,” said Prof. Akmaluddin when officially releasing the students.
The MSIB Batch 7 program consisted of 97 Unram students, including 64 Certified Internship and 33 students participating in Independent Study Program. Meanwhile, the Teaching Campus Program Batch 8 consisted of 340 students. With this significant number of participants, Unram shows its commitment in supporting the Merdeka Learning Campus program launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
Prof. Akmaluddin on this occasion also advised all participants to always maintain the good name of the alma mater and to always show a good attitude.
“All of you are Unram ambassadors, we hope that all of you can always show a good attitude wherever you are placed. Always maintain the good name of the alma mater, show a high work ethic, and a professional attitude at every step you take,” he added.
He also provided special motivation for students participating in the Teaching Campus program, who will play an important role in supporting education. “Your role is very important. You will be an inspiration for the younger students in the schools you will visit. Be a figure who nurtures, guides, and encourages them to continue learning,” he said.
Through MBKM Unram hopes that students can take advantage of the opportunities available to hone their skills and apply the knowledge learned on campus in the real world, both in industry and in the education sector. This step is expected to further strengthen the competence and capacity of Unram students, making them ready to compete in the global era.
