First Day of Mandiri Selection, Rector of Unram Conducts Monev
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) today, Monday, July 8, 2024, began the test for the New Student Admission (PMB) through the Mandiri pathway. This exam will last for seven days, from July 8 to 14, 2024, and will be held at seven points spread across the Unram campus.
The exam locations include the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) Aquaculture Study Program, UPA Library, and UPA Pustik.
Unram Rector, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. monitored and evaluated (monev) directly to the exam location on the first day (8/7) of implementation. During his visit, Prof. Bambang monitored the exam to ensure that the whole process went smoothly and in accordance with the standards that have been set.
“I saw that everything was running smoothly. I saw the details starting from the condition of the room, the distance between the participants’ benches is adequate, including the computer facilities. Everything run smoothly and in terms of the facilities that we provide at the University of Mataram, everything is appropriate in my opinion,” said the Rector of Unram.
In addition to monitoring the exam, Prof. Bambang also reviewed the readiness of other supporting facilities. This is done to ensure that all aspects of the exam are properly prepared.
“During the test today, there were no findings, for example, using communication devices with those outside. I also did not find whether there was a commotion or cheating on each other, the officers at the location were also all on site and fulfilled their responsibilities. So I am sure, year by year the preparation for the test at the University of Mataram is getting better,” he added.
A total of 6970 participants have registered for this Mandiri route selection and on the first day of the exam (8/7), 1020 out of 1050 participants attended and took the exam which was divided into two sessions.
Unram has prepared 525 computer facilities spread across seven exam locations to support the smooth implementation of this computer-based exam. This facility is expected to meet the needs of participants and ensure the selection process runs smoothly and efficiently.
The Mandiri PMB exam is one of Unram’s entrance selection channels that provides an opportunity for prospective students to join and become part of Unram’s academic community. There are four groups of applicants, the poor achievement pathway, the regular pathway, the partnership achievement pathway, and the international class.
With the start of the Mandiri PMB exam, Unram shows its commitment in providing wider educational opportunities for Indonesia’s young generation, and in supporting the creation of superior and competent human resources.
“For participants who have finished taking the exam, be careful on the way home. For those who have not yet taken the exam, although there is little time left, learn properly and don’t forget to have breakfast. Make the best preparations and ask if you don’t know where the test site is. Take care of your health because health is the most important thing in helping you to be able to answer the test questions well. I wish you good luck in this Mandiri test,” said Prof. Bambang.
