Inaugurates International Center and SINO Education Center: Unram Receives 9 International Master by Research Students
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) inaugurated the International Center and SINO Education Center on Monday (30/9), as a strategic step to enhance international cooperation and expand access to education for students from various countries. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Akmaluddin, S.T., M.Sc.(Eng.), Ph.D., along with university leaders, academic staff, and students.
On this occasion, Unram also received 9 international students who will take Master by Research program. The nine students come from China and will take part in a 3-semester research program designed to improve their knowledge and skills in their respective fields, including Master of Management, Master of Educational Administration, and Master of Economics.
In his remarks, Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and Information Systems, Prof. Akmaluddin addressed the international students that Unram is committed to providing the best educational services for students.
“Our university is committed to providing the best quality education. We are committed to providing students with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to succeed in academic and professional activities. I believe that you have come to the right place,” he said.
Furthermore, Akhmad Junaidi, M.A., Ph.D as the Head of International Degree Program expressed his hope with the inauguration of the center.
“Today the center will be inaugurated where more students will enroll at the University of Mataram, especially from the countries targeted by the SINO Education Center. We will run this program well. Hopefully we can continue to do this,” he said.
Accepted international students will receive guidance from experienced lecturers by getting thesis co-lecturers and academic assistants who have the opportunity to engage in various innovative research. This Master by Research program is expected to produce research that has a positive impact not only at the local level but also internationally.
In addition, the Director of SINO Education Centre, Dr. Ahmad Lani, M.Ed said that the center can further be used for any kind of student needs.
“This office is our contribution if there are guests or students from overseas, we have a place for discussion or whatever you want to talk about. Therefore, to all students, related to your research, related to anything for your study, please come to this office,” he explained.
The inauguration ceremony ended with the cutting of tumpeng and a group photo session between Unram and SINO Education Center Malaysia, as well as international students who attended.
Unram is committed to continuously improving the quality of education and research as well as establishing cooperation with various institutions around the world. It is hoped that the International Center will become a place where students and researchers gather, exchange ideas, and help advance science, and will enhance Unram’s reputation in the international arena.
