Indonesian Gives Back: FKIK Unram Gives Free Health Check for Taman Ayu Village Residents
Mataram, University of Mataram – With the theme “Healthy Generation Bright Future: Healthy Mothers, Strong Children, Bright Future”, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Mataram (FKIK Unram) held an Indonesian Gives Back (IGB) activity. One of the series of activities from IGB is a free health examination, which was carried out and aimed at residents of Taman Ayu Village, Gerung District, West Lombok on June 29, 2024.
The event involved a number of medical education students from various universities in Indonesia. The universities involved included Warmadewa University, Muslim University of Indonesia, Hasanuddin University, Udayana University, Al Azhar Mataram Islamic University, Brawijaya University, Muhammadiyah Makassar University, Halu Oleo University, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang, Gorontalo State University, Hang Tuah University Surabaya, Airlangga University, Surabaya State University, and Ganesha University of Education. The students were accompanied by general practitioners and obgyns from alumni and lecturers of FKIK Unram.
Health checks conducted were anthropometric checks for toddlers, blood pressure checks, blood sugar, uric acid and cholesterol checks, health consultations and treatment for the general public, free pregnancy checks and ultrasound for pregnant women. In addition, there was counseling on PHBS for children and counseling on reproductive health for adolescents.
This activity was welcomed enthusiastically by the residents, with more than 150 residents of Taman Ayu Village attended and participated in this activity.
