LPPM Unram Conducts Socialization of National Competitive Research and Community Service Guidelines

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Research and Community Service Institute of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) conducted an online socialization of the 2024 National Competitive Research and Community Service Guidelines (DRTPM Dikti) through Zoom Meeting on Monday (4/3).

This socialization activity was attended by the Secretary of LPPM, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, MP. accompanied by Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, ST.,M.Sc.(Eng).,Ph.D. as Head of Research Center; Head of Service Center, Dr. Ni Wayan Sri Suliartini, SP., MP. and 50 lecturers / researchers.

Secretary of LPPM, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, MP. in his speech said “This socialization activity not only aims to equalize the format and substance of research and community service conducted by lecturers / researchers in Unram, but the most important thing is to ensure that the implementation of research and community service is still conducted professionally with accountable, transparent, output-oriented principles, and refers to the research and community service quality assurance system,” he said.

To be able to implement the dharma of research and community service, universities, in this case Unram, are required to have competent lecturers, able to prepare research and community service proposals and conduct research, disseminate research results which ultimately produce various quality outputs, including scientific publications, technological, artistic and cultural processes and products that lead to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and outcomes to improve community welfare.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Research Center Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, ST, M.Sc. (Eng), Ph.D. emphasized that the implementation of this activity has various objectives in line with Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023 and PMK No. 113 of 2023.

“This activity is conducted to improve the quality and quantity of research and community service, as well as to adjust strategies, policy directions, and programs to the national standards of higher education, especially research standards and community service standards as stipulated in the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53 of 2023 regarding Higher Education Quality Assurance and Research and Innovation Output Cost Standards (SBK) as stipulated in the Minister of Finance Regulation No. 113 of 2023 regarding Output Cost Standards for Fiscal Year 2024,” said Prof. Buan.

The research and community service program provides opportunities for lecturers in universities to collaborate to produce research that can be a solution and innovation in the midst of community needs and challenges, and the results of the research can be downstreamed through community service activities.

Head of the Service Center, Dr. Ni Wayan Sri Suliartini, SP,. MP. on the same occasion said, “The Guidebook for Research and Community Service in 2024 accommodates five research priorities for Indonesia’s economic transformation, including the green economy, blue economy, digital economy, strengthening tourism, and health independence which are aligned with the focus areas, themes, and research topics contained in Presidential Regulation Number 38 of 2018 concerning the National Research Master Plan 2017-2045. As an appreciation of Indonesia’s cultural diversity, research and community service can include local wisdom issues that include the values of local knowledge and technology system norms born from the community,”.

The service schemes opened this year are the Community-Based Empowerment Scheme consisting of Beginner Community Empowerment, Community Partnership Empowerment, Community Empowerment by Students, the Entrepreneurship-Based Empowerment Scheme which is opened, namely the Empowerment of Regional Superior Product Business Partners, and the Regional-Based Empowerment Scheme consisting of Regional Empowerment and Assisted Village Empowerment.

This activity is one of the responses and commitments of Lppm University of Mataram in encouraging and facilitating lecturers in conducting research and community service activities to support the improvement of the quality of higher education, national competitiveness, and people’s welfare in a programmed and sustainable manner.
