LPPM Unram Monitors the National Competitive Research Program for 2023
Mataram, Universitas Mataram – The Research and Community Service Institute of Universitas Mataram (LPPM Unram) conducted Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the National Competitive Research Program on Tuesday (10/10) in the Main Meeting Room of LPPM Unram.
The implementation of this activity is motivated by the significant role of research and community service in higher education institutions in promoting innovation, knowledge development, and solving complex issues in society. It serves as the academic spirit in higher education to contribute to creating positive changes in various fields.
In 2023, Unram received 47 funded research proposals that passed the selection process. These proposals included 3 Outstanding Higher Education Applied Research Schemes (PTUPT), 2 Outstanding Higher Education Basic Research Schemes (PDUPT), 6 Doctoral Dissertation Research projects, 2 National Competitive Applied Research Schemes, 1 Basic Research, 4 Applied Research, 7 Master’s Thesis Research projects, 1 World-Class Research, 12 National Competitive Basic Research projects, 8 Regular Fundamental Research projects, 1 Domestic Collaboration Research, and 2 Downstream Applied Research projects.
As mentioned by the Chairman of LPPM Unram, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr., the National Competitive Research grant is a competitive research program based on the selection of research proposals submitted by lecturers or researchers at higher education institutions. This program aligns with the National Research Master Plan (RIRN) and National Strategic Plan (RSN) set by the government. It also supports Indonesia’s 2045 vision of becoming an advanced, independent, and just nation.
Prof. Sukartono, in an interview, emphasized that this Monev is a response to follow up on the Director of Research, Technology, and Community Service’s letter regarding the 2023 budget year’s Monev.
“This Monev is conducted to ensure the implementation of all processes and research achievements carried out by Unram researchers can be fulfilled. This is because each scheme has its own set of outcomes. Therefore, it must be ensured that these outcomes can be achieved as stated in the agreement contract,” explained the Professor from the Faculty of Agriculture at Unram.
