Meeting of the Senate Commission II with LPPM Unram ‌

Mataram, Universitas Mataram -The Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Mataram (LPPM Unram) received a visit from Commission II of the Unram Senate in the context of a Hearing Meeting (RDP) related to the LPPM work plan. This activity took place in the Main Session room of LPPM Unram. On this occasion, the Head of LPPM Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr was present; accompanied by the Secretary of LPPM Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, MP; Head of Research Center Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, ST, M.Sc. (Eng), Ph.D.; Dr. Ir. Misbahuddin, ST, MT,, IPU. as Head of the Center for Cooperation and Community Service (KKN); I Wayan Sudiarta, Ph.D. Head of the Center for Quality Control, Data and Information; Head of the Center for Community Service Dr. Ni Wayan Sri Suliartini, SP., MP. and Head of General Subdivision Roni Paslan, S.Adm. The meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Senate of the Unram, Prof. Dr. Agil Al Idrus, M.Si., was attended by several members of commission II of the senate.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Agil Al Idrus, M.Si. emphasized the importance of collaboration between LPPM to increase the number and quality of scientific publications and service programs that have a direct impact on society.

“We hope that through this meeting, we can find joint solutions to the various challenges faced in the implementation of research and community service, to achieve the targets that have been set,”. Said Prof. Agil.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr in his presentation explained the various programs that will and have been carried out by LPPM. He also conveyed some of the obstacles faced, such as limited research funds.

“We have made maximum efforts to conduct various research and service programs, but there are still some obstacles that need to be overcome immediately. We hope for full support from the senate to work together to overcome these obstacles,” said Prof. Sukartono.

The meeting was also characterized by an interactive discussion session, where senate members conveyed input and questions to LPPM. Some important suggestions that emerged included increasing the allocation of the research budget, developing cooperation with industry, and increasing the capacity of lecturers through training and workshops.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Agil Al Idrus, M.Si concluded that all inputs and proposals will be followed up by Commission 2 and will be submitted at the university senate meeting. He also invited all parties to continue to work together for the advancement of research and service at Unram.

“We must continue to innovate and collaborate to achieve Unram’s vision as a university that excels in research and service. I am sure that with the spirit of togetherness, we can achieve it,” concluded Prof. Agil.
