Mataram, University of Mataram – The Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Mataram (FMIPA Unram) began the LAMSama Accreditation Field Assessment process (Natural Science and Formal Science Self-Accreditation Institute). The activity which lasted for two days from August 22 to 23, 2024 was an important stage in the achievement of superior accreditation.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., officially opened the activity. In his speech, Prof. Bambang emphasized that the acceleration of superior accreditation of study programs is one of Unram’s main programs.
“We hope that with this field assessment, the Physics Study Program of FMIPA can contribute to the increase of superior accredited study programs at Unram,” said Prof. Bambang.
Further, the Rector of Unram explained that this is in line with Unram’s vision towards a world class university and the acceleration of transformation from a campus with the status of a Public Service Agency (BLU) to a State University with Legal Status (PTN-BH).
“This is part of our strategy in accelerating the achievement of the university’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU),” he added.
The field assessment involves two leading assessors, Prof. Dr.-Ing Setyawan Purnomo Sakti, M.Eng. from Universitas Brawijaya and Prof. Dr. Masturi, M.Si. from Universitas Negeri Semarang. Both of them will evaluate various aspects of the Physics Study Program of FMIPA Unram for the next two days.
This activity received full support from all levels of Unram leaders. With this support, it is expected that the Physics Study Program can achieve superior accreditation through the ongoing field assessment.
The results of this field assessment will determine the accreditation status of the Physics Study Program of FMIPA Unram for the next few years. Achieving excellent accreditation will not only enhance the reputation of the study program, but also contribute to Unram’s pursuit of its vision as a world-class higher education institution.
