Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) and the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati NTB) initiated a strategic cooperation that focuses on further education for Kejati NTB staff. This step was taken in an effort to strengthen institutional relations and increase synergy between academia and law enforcement in the NTB region.
The cooperation initiation dialogue was attended by the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., and the Head of the Kejati NTB, Dr. Bambang Gunawan, along with the officials of both institutions at the Kejati NTB Office, Tuesday (14/5).
On that occasion, Prof. Bambang stated that this initiative was part of Unram’s commitment to support the development of professionalism in the field of law. ‘We welcome the presence of Kejati NTB staff who want to continue their studies at Unram. This cooperation will not only increase individual capacity but also strengthen institutional relations between Unram and the Kejati NTB,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Kejati NTB, Dr. Bambang Gunawan, emphasised the importance of further education for prosecutorial staff in facing increasingly complex legal challenges. “Continuing education at Unram will provide an opportunity for our staff to deepen legal knowledge, improve analytical skills, and contribute more effectively to law enforcement tasks. We believe that this is an important step to strengthen the performance of Kejati NTB,” he explained.
In addition, the cooperation also includes organising joint seminars, workshops, and research activities that aim to enrich the academic and practical insights of the learners.
With the initiation of this cooperation, it is hoped that there will be an improvement in the quality of law enforcement through individual and institutional capacity building. Unram is committed to providing quality and relevant education, while Kejati NTB is committed to utilising the knowledge gained to improve performance and services to the community.
