Rector of Unram Signs MoU with Chairman of Ombudsman RI
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ombudsman RI and an MoU between the Rector of Hamzanwadi University and the Chairman of the Ombudsman RI on Friday (17/11) in the Rector’s Conference Room, Rectorate of Unram.
The MoU was signed by the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., and the Chairman of the Ombudsman RI, Mokhammad Najih. Furthermore, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Lalu Wira Pria Suhartana, S.H., M.H., with the Head of Ombudsman RI Prov. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Dwi Sudarsono, as well as the signing of the IA between the Head of the Undergraduate Law Study Program of the Faculty of Law Unram, Dr. Hj. Rina Khairani Pancaningrum, SH., LL.M., with the Head of the Ombudsman RI Prov. West Nusa Tenggara, Dwi Sudarsono.
The Rector of Unram appreciated the visit of Ombudsman RI to Unram. In his speech, he hopes that this cooperation will bring many benefits, especially for the Faculty of Law so that it can contribute to what has been initiated, especially cooperation with the Supreme Court.
Unram as an extension of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology wants to develop law in the field of majors, study programs, and other fields at Unram to be more advanced. Unram hopes that the Ombudsman can help in facilitating in the form of student internships, guest lecturers, expert lecturers, and partition lecturers.
” In any case, Unram highly respects and appreciates the arrival of the Ombudsman RI and hopes to connect Unram’s ideals related to the development of legal sciences, so that we can teach various things to students, not only about theory but also the development of legal dynamics in Indonesia,” he said.
In addition, Chairman of Ombudsman RI Mokhammad Najih expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome given by Unram and hoped that this cooperation could be implemented through real action.
Mokhammad Najih also gave advice on the formation of Student Activity Units (UKM) in the field of public service monitoring and invited students who were active and wanted to know more about monitoring public servants to work together with the Ombudsman, that way it could be a long-term education about mental change in public services to get better in the future.
